Systems Engineer-System & Storage

Job Duties:
- Provides technical expertise in supporting system & storage solution
- Implement multi-vendor environments as part of a proof of concept engagement on Open systems and storage
- Perform daily system monitoring, helpdesk support and trouble shooting of Open systems and storage
- Documentation and housekeeping
- 7 x 24 standby support is required
Job Requirements:
- Diploma holder in IT related discipline with 1 to 2 years relevant experience (at least one year solution implementation experience)
- Minimum 1-year solid experience on Open system and storage
- Hands-on experience with VMware ESX, HP-UX, IBM AIX, Solaris administration and SAN infrastructure administration
- Hands-on experience in performance monitoring and tuning
- Knowledge in Database Administration, Backup tools (Symantec Netbackup etc) and System Monitoring tools (HP Openview, etc) is an advantage
- Analytical and good interpersonal and communication skills
- Certification on HP, VMware, EMC, HDS, NetApp, Brocade, Microsoft, is highly preferred
- Good knowledge in Windows, UNIX and Linux platform
- Proactive and initiative, able to complete job assignment independently with min supervision and meet tight deadline
- Good in English, Mandarin and Chinese
